Notarize Signs Off On 25% Staff Reduction, Admits Challenging Fundraising Environment

Amazon makes full library music free for streaming for Prime users- but here’s the catch!

The pros of being a member of Amazon Prime are free to access 2 million songs in its library for streaming. The good news is that this perk has been upgraded. The Company announced that they are making the entire library of Amazon Music accessible to Prime members. So that boosts up the number of songs available for streaming from two million to a hundred million, and that too ad-free.

Not just that, Prime subscribers can also avail the most extensive assortment of podcasts, ad-free. One can also access shows from the Wondery Catalog, acquired by Amazon in 2020, like Dr. Death, Even the Rich, and SmartLess. Amazon Exclusives like Baby, this is Keke Palmer, MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories from CNN. ESPN and The New York Times are available for free streaming too.

There hasn’t been a boost in the cost of Amazon Prime Membership because of the new perks. Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, said after the release of the notice that they continue to innovate on behalf of their customers to bring even more entertainment to the Prime members.

The Prime Subscribers will be able to access these expanded additions upon updating. The Amazon music application; enhances the Podcast Preview Feature. Discovery features are also introduced in the music sphere to help users find their favorite artists based on their likes and taste. Users could also download “all-access playlists” that are styled to their personalized listening preferences and demand for offline listening.

Boosting the number of free songs for streaming from 2 million to 100 million is interesting. This feature makes being a Prime subscriber more rewarding than being a Spotify subscriber since the songs come ad-free.

To all these new perks, there is a catch, though. The catch is that one cannot shuffle the music by artist, album, or playlist. One cannot select a specific song for playback. One needs to upgrade to an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, which will provide unrestricted access to a hundred million songs.

Amazon music unlimited considerably ranks high on the list of the best music streaming services. It lets subscribers listen to uncompressed and high-resolution songs with spatial audio and Sony’s 360 Reality Audio. These additions are not available for free to Prime members. Without these features, an Amazon Prime Membership looks appealing and rewarding.

One would get fast, free shipping, unlimited movies, and TV show collections ad-free for $14.99 / AUS $59 per month or $139 / AUS$59 per year. In addition, there are ad-free podcasts, prime gaming, three thousand plus books and magazines with reading, and unlimited photo storage on amazon photos.

This decision to increase the number of songs resulted in customers and users requesting access to the entire music library. Users will now be able to play and shuffle any music, artist, playlist, or album, along with access to upgrade to Amazon music unlimited, which will provide spatial audio and HD songs.

This is not the first instance where Amazon has increased its facilities since increasing the subscription cost because of inflation. Only this February, Amazon upped the membership fee from $119 to $139 and the monthly payment from $12.99 to $14.99, totaling $180 yearly.

After this, Amazon offered two prime days for members to avail of discounts before a shopping holiday. For the first time, Amazon organized a second excellent day event of the year. Which offers access to holiday offers to prime members.

These additions are clearly a lot for the money Amazon Prime Subscribers pay for the subscription. Amazon wants to keep its users engaged. This perk of free access to a hundred million more songs serves the purpose.
